Cloud-native, virtualized Open RAN (vORAN) is a software which can be deployed in containerized distribution units whilst being centrally controlled. The benefits offer an enhancement of existing Open-RAN features including ehanced efficiency and automation of the RAN, but perhaps most advantageous it allows for scalability of Open-RAN networks and offers an opportunity to build and end-to-end Open-RAN ecosystem at scale whilst keeping OPEX costs low.
